Imagine your knitted Polar Bear Toy. The snowflakes are falling on his nose and head; he wraps himself in a warm and cozy sweater, pulls his cap over his ears and ties a scarf around his neck. That’s what I was thinking about making my new toy outfit and remembering this children’s Christmas song.
It will make you feel warm and cozy and get you in the festive mood. And you will get it twice – first time when knitting it, second – when giving it as a present.
This gift will leave the receiver in awe, I promise you that!
My knitting pattern includes detailed instruction of knitted sweater, scarf, hat, a pair of boots and panties. Take a pait of straight knitting needles (4mm) and thick yarn to knit this outfit. Make sweater body(bottom-up) and sleeves details separately, assemble it in one piece (up to neck). To knit a Christmas tree, use jacquard technique. Or go for an embroidery on knit fabric, if you feel like it.
Panties are knitted with stockinette stitch. Knit in one-piece, sew it up after.
Same is for the hat – stockinette stitch, in one-piece, knit from front to the back of head, sew it up.
Boots are knitted with stockinette stitch. To make a scarf, use a hollow rib technique.
This outfit fits your Polar Bear/Fox Toy, Reindeer Toy (except for the hat).
