People love Halloween because of dressing up, candies, pumpkins and autumn vibe.
Anyone can enjoy Halloween, because it is all about fun and creativity.
In my country we don’t celebrate it that much, but still, it is a good chance to knit and create something unusual. Let’s knit this beautiful pumpkin outfit that will bring the festive mood of October and make everybody happy!
So, make a cup of hot chocolate with cinnamon, and let’s start!
Skills you need:
- Knitting with 2 straight needles. Turning row, increase/decrease stitches.
- Knitting in the round with double pointed needles.
To knit a dress, we use a pair of straight needles(circular needles) and your stockinette stitch skills.
First make this scary-looking triangle shaped scull patterns, you can either knit or crochet it. There are both knitting and crochet patterns in my pdf file that you can use. Triangles are made separately; sew them on after.
Pumpkin hat is knitted on 2 needles. Only for the tail I use 2 DPNs, i-Cord technique. When it is ready, sew the fabric up, backside.
The boots: make upper part separately, use a set of DPNs for that. There are two options for the sole making; it can be either knitted or crocheted. Sew the upper boot part and the sole together. Sew the button on. Make a button using a crochet hook, there is an instruction in my pattern.
Use a set of DPNs to make boots, seamless technique.
Make a cape in one piece( on 2 straight knitting needles), sew it up after.
