Puppy The Villager - My long-term project...

If you know how to do magic using not only knitting needles but crochet hook also, this project is for you!
Puppy The Villager reminds me my old childhood book, and the stories about Christmas Snow woods, that my grandpa used to read me. I remember sitting and listening to them, imagining the snow crunching under the boots and wooden sledges. There is a Christmas tree on it; puppy is in a hurry, he needs to deliver the tree right in time, for a Christmas celebration. He knows, children are waiting there.

Why I see that? Maybe because it is a very traditional old school Russian style outfit. National Russian villagers, our traditional fairytales characters, were always depicted like that. Russian Ushanka hat, (ear flapped hat), valenki (snow felt boots), oversized knitted sweaters or sheepskin coat make you feel warmer, just by looking at them.
Knitted Sweater and toy’s pants are made with a pair of straight needles(one pointed or circular ones), using stockinette stitch.
Raglan sweater details are knitted separately (knitted and sewed together after); for a herringbone pattern we will use a jacquard technique or you can just embroider it after everything is done.

Pants are made in one piece; sew it together after.

Ushanka and valenki are the most traditional Russian winter wardrobe pieces. We will make it using crochet hook. To make our hat “fur” we will use a nice crochet stitch calls Loop Stitch (I give a detailed how-to instruction or check my video tutorial for it 😊 You can skip this part though; just use some suitable yarn texture 😉
This outfit fits your Puppy, Bunny or Doll crocheted/knitted toys 💖😊
You always are very welcome to get in touch with me if any questions or doubts are come up ♥
